Question:
Some facts and a question?

Since there is widespread joy in having this forum, I have decided to offer some facts about the competition (CL or the European Cup). Some of you might know it already. Here goes:

1. 5 players have won the trophy both as a player and manager. They are Miguel Munoz (Real Madrid), Giovanni Trappatoni (Milan in 1963, and managed Juventus' 1985 Heysel Stadium victory over Liverpool), Johann Cruyff (Player; Ajax Manager: Barcelona 1992), Carlo Ancelotti (Milan) and of course, Frank Rijkaard (Player: Milan )

2. Most goals in the Final was in 1960 at Hampden Park, where Real Madrid defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 7-4.

3. This tournament was the brainchild of a French sports writer. It first started in 1956.

4. Wolves had a very strong squad in 1956 and as English Champions were tipped for glory, but the FA refused to sanction their participation, so they were denied possibly their best ever chance of a European triumph.
